As a result of Governor Cuomo's Executive Order, effective March 22, 2020, and until further notice, "no papers shall be accepted for filing by a county clerk or a court in any matter of a type not included on the list of essential matters." What this means for the typical business litigation is that the Court is not particularly interested in hearing from you until further notice. Essentially, all time periods are on pause.
Please consider this an opportunity to put your business litigation on the back burner while you attend to other matters.
